Ferry Terminal on Boxing Day 1905. Watercolour (730x540)mm Another scene depicting the enthusiasm for day excursions out to the bays and islands of the inner Hauraki Gulf. The vessels left to right are the paddle ferries Eagle and the aging Tainui, the steamer Claymore behind and the steamer Rose Casey right. The buildings behind are Gladstone's Coffee Palace and the Auckland Harbour Board Building. This was painted around 1995. |
